from photoshoot,
to design, to sending off to print... I did it all!
I undertook the entire process of creating a mock annual report for the outdoor brand Arc'Teryx.
From initial concept development to the final printed piece, I ensured the report felt authentic to Arc’teryx's brand by thoroughly researching its visual identity, tone, and design approach. Every element was crafted to align with their branding, creating a piece that feels realistic and true to something they might produce.
All the imagery in the report was shot by me, including snowboarding action shots of my friends, captured at Big Bear Mountain Resort in Southern California. My college friends were awesome models for the shoots, adding a personal and collaborative element to the project.
Specifically, the snow photoshoot was an adventure in itself—it was my first time shooting in extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, sleet, and hail. Balancing the need to protect my camera (and myself) while skiing and capturing fast-paced moments like snowboarding jumps was an unforgettable challenge.
Beyond the photography, I crafted the copy to reflect Arc’teryx’s tone and values and designed the layout to seamlessly integrate text and visuals. Once the design was finalized, I prepared it for professional printing, resulting in physical copies of the report. This project was a deep exploration of the creative process, combining research, art direction, photography, copywriting, and print production. With all the time and collaboration put into this annual report, it made for one of my most memorable projects!
